Yes. Backyard Discovery provides clear, easy-to-follow instructions written in plain language. For added support, customers also have access to step-by-step 3D assembly guidance through the BILT® app, allowing you to visualize each stage of the build process.

Is there anything STR hosts should know about the outdoor sauna control panel?
Yes. Backyard Discovery outdoor saunas use a touchscreen display panel that may require clear guest-facing instructions. Users need to know when to short tap, long tap, and wait for the white dot indicator above the temperature or time setting before making adjustments.
Backyard Discovery has provided supplemental instructions that can be printed and placed near the sauna, along with page 9 of the Outdoor Sauna Owner’s Manual. This is especially helpful for STR guests who need a simple, self-service experience.
Key control panel notes:
• The ON/OFF button requires a long tap. Hold the button for a few seconds to turn the unit on or off.
• The TEMP and TIMER buttons use a short tap to enter their settings.
• The +/- buttons only work when the white dot is visible above the Timer button on the display. This confirms the panel is in the correct input mode.
• If you need to change the timer while it is running, you will need to bring it back to zero first before setting a new time. This is a built-in safety feature of the unit.
Backyard Discovery can also provide an alternative display panel with a lighter blue background that is easier to see. This version has already been implemented into production for new units. A future push-button panel is expected around September 2026.
