Are there any linen strategies I should know before ordering?
Yes. A strong linen strategy can help you reduce replacement costs, avoid shortages, and keep turnovers running smoothly.
We recommend starting with our article “Linen Strategies for Short Term Rentals,” which covers how to plan inventory, determine how often linens should be washed or changed, and understand linen lifespan.
For bedding specifically, we also recommend “Triple Sheeting Beds for Short Term Rentals,” which explains the benefits of triple sheeting and how to implement it in your property.
How do I triple sheet a King bed?
For triple sheeting a King bed, we do not recommend using Cal King sheets. Cal King sheets are longer from head to toe, but they are shorter on the sides and may not provide enough coverage.
Standard Textile offers many sheets in both King Flat, 108" x 115" and King Extra Wide Flat, 114" x 125" case packs. For the best fit, use the regular King flat sheet on the bottom and the King Extra Wide flat sheet on top, over the duvet insert or comforter.
This setup gives you approximately 6" of extra side coverage and 10" of extra top and bottom coverage.
Products
Where are Standard Textile products made?
Standard Textile products are made in various facilities around the world, including advanced manufacturing sites in Thomaston, Georgia, Union, South Carolina, and Brownsville, Texas.
Can I get samples?
Yes. Standard Textile can provide linen samples to help you choose the right products for your short-term rental.
Samples are limited to one item per linen type, such as one sheet, one pillowcase, or one towel. To request samples, log in to the HostGPO member portal and click the Standard Textile Sample Request Form.
Do Standard Textile sheets have a traditional thread count?
Not in the traditional sense.
Thread count is no longer the best way to measure sheet quality, especially for modern blended and performance fabrics. Construction, fiber type, weave, durability, finish, and laundering performance are often more useful indicators of quality.
I received sheets from Standard Textile and noticed stitching “tails” at the hems. Is this normal?
Yes. Stitching tails at the beginning and end of each hem are normal and are part of the auto-sew process. They help prevent the hem from unraveling.
Can I trim the stitching tails?
No. Do not trim the stitching tails. Trimming them can cause the sheet to unravel over time. They are designed to remain in place as part of the sheet’s construction.
Will the stitching unravel after a few washes?
No. As long as the stitching tails are left intact, the sheets should remain durable through regular laundering.
Why didn’t my order arrive in plastic bags?
Some Standard Textile items no longer ship in individual poly bags. This is intentional and part of Standard Textile’s sustainability efforts to reduce single-use plastics.
Some case pack items now ship in a sturdy white inner box instead of being individually bagged.
Which collections arrive pre-laundered?
The following Standard Textile collections arrive pre-laundered:
Vidori, Piano Key, EuroClassique, Gradient, Elevations, Classic Dobby, Stripe Pool Towels, Colorfill Seaside Stripe, Centium Satin, Centima, Lynova Blankets, Centium Satin Duvet Covers, and ComfortTwill Duvet and Top Covers.
Which items in the BedBOX are pre-laundered?
The only pre-laundered items in the BedBOX are the ComfortTwill duvets in the Standard and Basic boxes, and the Lynova Blankets in the Luxe box.
All other BedBOX items are not pre-laundered.
What is the best option for wrinkle resistance?
For wrinkle resistance, we recommend Express Microfiber or bedding with a crease-resistant finish.
Centium Satin is a strong option because it has a nice hand feel and performs well. ComfortTwill Stripe and Centima are also good choices. On the Mascioni side, Dream Cotton is made to be 100% cotton with a crease-resistant finish.
In general, polyester and polyester-blend fabrics tend to wrinkle less than cotton. However, laundering practices matter. Be sure your cleaning team removes linens from the dryer promptly after the cycle ends. Even the best wrinkle-resistant finish will not prevent wrinkles if linens sit in the dryer too long.
Is there anything I can do to prolong the life of my linens?
Yes. To help extend the life of your linens:
Wash linens in cold water, dry on low heat, avoid over-bleaching, avoid excessive laundry chemicals, and do not over-dry.
Overheating, over-drying, overloading washers, and using too much bleach or harsh chemicals can shorten the lifespan of linens.
How long should Standard Textile linens last?
Standard Textile provides approximate life expectancy ranges by product type. These ranges are based on typical wash cycles unless otherwise noted. Actual lifespan may vary depending on laundering practices, usage, chemicals, heat exposure, and overall handling.

What is the best mattress protector?
We recommend AllerEase mattress encasements, which provide bedbug protection through a bedbug barrier.
What items can be embroidered?
Any robe can be embroidered. Costs vary depending on the size and complexity of the embroidery project.
Embroidery projects must be quoted case by case with your Standard Textile sales consultant. The minimum order is one case of robes.
How do I tell which size sheets and towels I received?
Each item type is bagged together and labeled with a unique item number on a sticker. Your order should also include a packing slip with product details and item numbers.
Standard Textile’s EZ ID sheeting also uses color-coded selvage yarns running down the side of the sheets:
118" Gray: XL King / Mascioni Flat
114" Gold: King Extra Wide
108" Green: King
98" Brown: Queen XL / Extra Wide
90" Blue: Queen Flat
81" Fuchsia: Full Flat
Twin: no color threads
The EZ ID terry system helps staff identify towel weights using a distinct color bar on the sew-in label:
20 lb.: Gold
18 lb.: Brown
17 lb.: Green
15 lb.: Blue
14 lb.: Fuchsia
